That's a lot of digging...You have to dig it all to get those awesome relics!

You Sir are a one man recycling team. :hello2:
Now that you cleared all of the junk out, we expect to see a plate full of old silver and copper coins next. No pressure. :laughing7:
Thanks for the post,
MM

Other guys have been hitting here for years - so the finds are few and far between
I the new guy at this spot
- kick in the head is I been trying to get my friend to go here for like 30 yrs
and we drive by here all the time going to other areas and every time I would say to him "we should get permission to hit those fields"
and each time he would laugh = he's not laughing now that he is hearing about all the goodies that have come out of there

Exactly. Nice to show that it isn't all just gathering nuggets in May. ;)

Thanks!

Yup, that's they way to do it. When you say you cleaned out an area, that is what you have to do.

It's tough to pass up targets out there. You never know what it could be. That's why ya just keep digging

haha, yeah. We should have a disclaimer stating that for every good find we post, we're digging dozens and dozens of holes and cleaning up a ton of trash and debris.

Yeah Jason - trying to keep it real - some think we go out for a few hours and get what we get and it comes easy
been out with you 3 days -at least 8 hrs a day - for around 24+ hrs combined to get the few goodies we got and we all
dug up easily 150+ pieces of trash a piece (I actually think its higher than that)- lets call it 500 + between all of us
Im still hurting from all the up and down (for those that don't know -I use a heavy duty hand shovel or knife when I hunt)
- just cant get into the long handled shoveling -(which is what the other guys use)
and I pay for it at the end of the day - for a hobby - it ends up being a lot like work :tongue3:

This post reminds me of a video that someone posted on here. It seems to be about 10 minutes long and shows all the junk to include the good finds and has really cool music that coincides with the finds. Reality check on how much work it takes, and it isn't about finding relics or coins usually.

Good way to get to the good stuff too, gotta remove the trash to get the good stuff...but cleaning in the environment one piece at a time!

I have a park that has a carpet of bottle caps I just can't bring myself to start the clean up but I know the goodies are there. And you need a jackhammer to get down an inch.LOL someday though.

If we pool all our metal trash we can corner the metal recycling business! Lol! Well you've done the hard part, time for some R & R - "Rare Relic" recoveries! Your half way there, I can hear it calling your name! HH!

What do you mean?..You got you some ...Thing-a-magigs....some doo-hickees...a couple whatnots
