IT'S HAMMER TIME
Went back up to Antietam today,thank you Mr. President's....This farm that jimmy5503 and I hunt that overlook's the N.E. corner of the "East Woods".There were alot of skirmishe's around the the whole area even before the bloody battle.Been doing a little research on troop movement's and found pretty much what I wanted to know.Here's what I found today.First pic is of the old farm,mid 1800's,the rest are some of my find's.Old horseshoe's,a buckle of some kind,a fired round..maybe a 58 cal...not sure and last but not least....THE HAMMER....pretty sure it's from a English Enfield..maybe a Sprigfield,don't know.....Anyway thank's for lookin' and HH!!
