Today after cleaning the battery contacts on my ATPRO I took it out in the yard to test it.
Not really expecting to find anything...since I've hunted it before.

But.... I dug this in the backyard and was surprised as a glint of gold peaked out of the dirt.

It is gold plated but what is it?. The numbers on the back and the Chrysler symbol there helped.

It's From a 1967 Newport car there are suppose to be 3 of them on the grill

My home was built on a cattle ranch in the late 90's so how it got there? unknown
No other car parts found
The properties here are in an hoa so no cars can be parked on the property other than on the driveway.

I found It's fairly rare selling for around $100 in mint shape.

Nice find, and a great old car. My family had a used 1967 Newport when I was a kid in the very early 70s. It was green and built like a tank. I think my brother later totaled it, which couldn't have been too easy to do.
