I look for obvious errors on coins for fun. Found a couple nifty ones I'd share for today 20190913_182209.jpg20190913_182300.jpg20190913_182254.jpgdownload_20190911_230205.jpg

Ah well, regardless I find them nifty. I'm an amateur with coin errors always eager to learn the difference. Although I cant imagine how the 8 in the 1980 date couldve been damaged after minting. But at the end of the day if I like them and add them to my collection it's a "to each his/her own" thing. Thanks for the comment!

On a wheat cent, 1909-1958, the only numbers on the third digit that could be rounded on top are 2 or 3. Your coin is likely a 1930 due to a rounded bottom on the same third digit. The date took a hit. Nothing more. The coin actually looks remarkably good for being 89 years old.

Time for more coffee.

Yup, all just damaged. Copper is fairly soft metal and is easily dented, gouged etc. It is surprising how often letters or numbers on a coin are hit causing them to look odd.

Well the one w the funky number (last photo pictured) cant be a wheat cent as I'm aware of what the back of the cents look like. I may not be that grand with errors but im not ignorant with my wheat cents vs lincoln memorial cents:p. But regardless I think the damaged looked nifty. Was def uncertain if it was an error in those cents, but hey I like em!. Figured after seeing a post another member did I'd def get a blunt answer hence posting.

The first three photos were wheat cent photos and the fourth was not? Perhaps an important item you should have mentioned. Accurate descriptions of photos will get you more accurate comments.

Time for more coffee.
