Italian Button ID

Hi, This button was recovered from North East Italy, in an area believed to contain WWII relics. In addition to a rough time period, I am hoping someone might be able to identify if it is military related and if so which side wore it. I believe it is gold gilded and has a base metal of copper. Whattayathink? Thanks!

Sorry for my delay, just came back from Fort Leonard Wood.
This is Italian infantry button, I would say, from WWI. If I find more information, I’ll post it.

Thank you both for the help! There seems to be very little information on Italian buttons on the net, but I did see some that were somewhat similar said to be from WW2. I think Im going to go ahead and mark this one solved, but feel free to add anything! Thanks again!
