It was a toy and silver weekend!

Hope you all had a great and safe weekend, we did, we actually made 92 degrees this weekend! Now wait a minute, I know, it's hotter other places, but this is big, we haven't made that high since last summer, so we get excited when it gets warm!
we did really good this weekend, much better than last week, then we only found a total of 99 cents, and tons of caps, slaw, can's, pulltabs and other goodies. yesterday we got out early, yeah! We had the whole beach to ourselves, til this lady comes up and starts talking to us, while her dogs were running around on the sand and in the water. Come to find out, she has a detector too, bad news is she left it at home, we talked for awhile, she asked alot of questions (She is a newbie) and we invited her to join us one morning, we'd be happy to help her! She was shocked when she found out we pick up garbage when we detect, we showed her our bag, we had a ton of broken glass, torn up cans, fishing hooks and lines, and so on, she said she will NEVER go barefoot at the beach again!
Saturday was a jewelry day, we found one set of matching hoop earings junk, 2 single hoop earings, not matching, the two nonmatching are silver, and so is the huge CZ set in silver stud earing! We also found a bracelet, but I'm using it as an anklet, my arm is too small and I don't want to lose it! We also found 2 pairs of shoes, a pair of socks, and a zipper.
Today we got out earlier, and omg was it heaven!!! We had the whole park to ourselves, even the guy who hunts in the water wasn't there yet, and he is always there before us! Chug forgot his pouch in our truck, so while he went back to get it, he left me holding his detector, no problem......uh, yea there is one slight problem, Red loves collecting toys, and while Chug was getting his pouch, I was hobbling along picking up shovels, buckets, a ball, plastic shapes that are used to make sand castles, 3 hairpins, one with a butterfly on it, Chug scored a one dollar bill, and we ended up finding $5.20 in clad, a silver toe ring, a small butterfly which is really cute, and other odds and ends. We had a blast, and enjoy our time together so very much, friday will be 19 years since we have met!!!
The toys I find, will be donated to one of our neighbor's grandkids, this little boy and girl have had a rough time, they have been in foster homes, and just got reunited with their parents, who are both now clean and sober! So when I see stuff, I'll save it for them, and I plan on trying to get clothes for them for Christmas, and some toys, Hannah calls me Auntie, and always has to come visit me, she is 5 and a little doll, as is her brother who just turned 2! Anyway, it was a great weekend, til the cops showed up! Enjoy and have a great week!!!! Red

in parks been tempted to take 'em along,
but ya never know if the kid will eventually
go looking for them.

it looks like a fun day at the beach for sure. I pick up toys almost every day. I figure when I have company the kids will enjoy them. good hunt!

Nice assortment of toys. Congrats on the silver.

One park I was hunting had a bike and one of those kids power wheels sticking out of the lake. I hope both kids got off before they took the splash. Turning on the news a few weeks ago before going to work I saw police diving to check out an SUV that was in a park lake. I've hunted that park before but not much since I never feel 100% safe there. Never know what your going to find.
