Today I met up with Kimsdad, Twistidd, & Watercolor out at or favorite woods and we all got some cool stuff. I'll let them explain what they found. Today was my first time out with my new SunRay pinpointer - that thing is AWESOME!!! I was the first one to get there so I waisted no time and started hitting an area where an old water pump used to be back in the day, and BAM I got my first ring for the season!!! At some point in the day I wound up redepositing 1 of my 4 Wheaties somewhere, I'm just glad it wasn't one of my silvers... :tongue3:

Towards the end of the hunt I got a strong silver signal down maybe 5 inches or so but it was large. I dug down and right off the bat I encountered 2 very large roots, well I tried to dig around them and was quickly stopped by another root, that's when Twistedd tried to get at the target. Well after he made quick work of digging around he saw something shiny in the hole. I thought that oh man I just found my very first half or one dollar!!! But then he removed it from is hole, it was an old condom tin - I don't remember what it said on the tin but I do remember it had "Woody" on it :tongue3:. I then though maybe some luck guy put some coins in it for safe keeping, WRONG!!!! The only thing inside was an unused petrified condom - LOL!!! I should of took a pix of the tin as it was old and it was under some huge roots but I put it on a tree stump just in case someother MD'er might want to keep it. ;D

I now have 7 silver coins and 2 sterling jewelry for the year . :icon_pirat:

Enough talk, here are my finds.

Dang Fiend! You were really banging today with your new pinpointer! I walked about 50 feet today with my switch flipped to probe... still happens to me, hope it doesn't happen too much for you.

Great Hunt and great finds! That ring is sweet and the silver coins are welcome additions too :)

Re: It was a silver kinda day out in the woods!!!

What a great hunt, Fiend!!  :icon_king:

Two silvers and a sterling ring!!! :o

Sorry I didn't get a chance to chat with you. Watercolor gave me quarter fever early in the hunt and I was possessed!

I'm glad you like your new probe. Like Brett, I've been known to walk around with it switched on when I didn't know it. Now, when it's too noisy or too quiet, I look at the switch. Every time I start swinging, I double check it, too. My switch is on the right side, and in the woods branches tent to flip it for me. :-\

Thanks in advance for the video - I can't wait to watch it!

LMAO! Get your mind out of the gutter, Jon!

lol, now that I look at my post, I can laugh. I'm surprised that I didn't notice that, with this sick mind of mine...

All I can say is that, all of us with PP's are cool, but seeing as Brett uses the pistol probe, he's got the biggest PP of us all. But you know what they say, it's not the size of the PP, it's the way you use it!

Ok this is getting out of hand. Joe

I am thinking about buying a 72" extension for MY PP....That would make my PP probably 58-60 inches longer than 'Bretts" PP.............Only problem is ..........Even when I can get it around an obstacle such as a tree, in a deep hole......I can only probe 3 inches deep Max.......LOL................................"Interpretation"..............I am thinking about getting a 72' Cable extension for my SunRay ( PinPointer )...and with my electronic sensitivity to it's Highest level......It can only see a target or Probe it at 3 inches (deep) Max.................LOL
