For anyone who has read any of my other posts regarding the "site" I've been working at, I finally recieved the news I've been waiting for, talked to my Grandfather who lived on the land mid to late 1900's, anyway he was told by a friends father who would be about 120 something now(he is dead ;D) that there was at one time a house across the meadow from the farmhouse, my grandfather of course thought he was rememebering incorrectly but finding the well in the very spot the alleged house was makes me very confident. Now just need to find the sucker, or at least all she has to give.

Be careful around the old well. Put some boards or something over it. Some are not as stable as others. You don't want to find out how deep it is by falling in it.

Now the thing you want to find next is the outhouse. Maybe some of the people who have searched them will give you the poop, I mean scoop on what you might find. Remember the outhouse was the trashcan back then.

Over here in the Netherlands, they call them a bear hole or bear pit. They are prized sites. Some people take literally thousands of dollars of stuff out of the ground where they were.
