It says white gold

Have you tested it to see if it is gold? If so, it looks like one of the 1/4 ounce bullion coins. I did a quick look and couldn't find the exact one. I'm sure someone will recognize it.

I took it to a jewelry shop and the man took it to the back room and then gave it to his sales girl and she told me that he doesn't know what it is but its not gold. I have not taken it any where else. The sound on my tesoro is very close to my 10ct wedding band but disc out later with no break. very loud :dontknow:

Looks like a pretty poor copy of the back of the $5 gold coin. If it's the same on both sides then it's possibly an ornamental pendant that popped out of it's surround. :dontknow:

I'll have to agree with those of you saying its not gold. It does bug me that when all of the other clad change I plucked out of the ground was so corroded and this one just wipes clean. My dad had said that he thought it was a medallion of some sort possible to a watch chain. What gets me is the design, its the same as the back of a Morgan dollar even down to the placement of the mint mark. With little differences, arrows have hollow tips, eagle head not quite rite, ect. I have a copy of a Carson City dollar and it does not have ridges on the sides and the front and back are the same side up. Probably a faker of some sort thats probably why no one can identify it. One way to tell the metal content have it tested in front of me by a reputable coin collector or jeweler, guess thats my next step. One more thing it has an odd ring to it when you flip it ?? it rings very loudly, kinda the difference between a zincoln and a pre 82 penny the pre 82 rings louder.? thanks guys!

My guess is that it fell out of a belt buckle. Buckles made to hold a silver dollar are very common and I've seen inexpensive ones that came complete with a "replica" morgan dollar. The only thing that might blow that theory out of the water is that the ones I've seen are the same size as a real silver dollar so you can swap out the fake one for a real one.

this one looks like the one a guy I know had, his was smaller and in a ring and he tried to sell it to me and I saw them in a
jewerly dept of a store and they had the ring one and pennents to hang on a chain. they came in sizes about dime, nickle, quarter, and half dollar sizes. they was selling the white and yellow ones and claiming that they was real 999 gold. but they was fakes and the one was $1700.00 sure glad I didn't but as the got caught later. never seen white that could be 999 ( sure givaway)
