Y'all,
I finally dusted off my Fisher F2 and detected my parent's backyard (house built in the 50s). It was a huge learning experience, and I kind of think I understand the darn thing now. :icon_thumleft: I tried it a couple of times in 2009, got frustrated and literally put it away for years. :BangHead:

I'm a total introvert and hate confrontation, so going out like you brave souls to parks and places that may or may not be legal (Wake County isn't too clear on that) makes me uncomfortable. ANYWAYS, I'm back after joining this forum in 2009 to share my finds!

If it hadn't been a bagillion degrees, and I had more time, I would've searched more diligently. I hit a few holes where I couldn't find the darn thing, or the beeps kept moving and... nothing. I probably need a probe. Found 3 wheaties and a Karatclad heavy gold plated charm. Pretty good start!

I understand being a loner. But if you find a detecting partner, you'll get out a lot more.

Welcome back.

hey man, I'm in Raleigh. I'm down to hunt anytime my schedule allows. Let me know if you want to swing sometime.
