I haven't had much to report for quite some time. Silver halves have more or less gone to places other than where I live in the North West. Some strange things have happened lately though and here is the story..........

I picked up my two boxes from one of my CU's on Tuesday. One of them had the CWI stamp on it. In 96+ boxes I have gone through that is the very first one I have seen. And that stamp was from Pennsylvania!!!! I got 6 40's from the box and the other not stamped box 1 40.

Today I got my two boxes from the other CU. BOTH hand marked "NO SILVER"

Who knew, how did they know and what's going on here

Out of the two boxes I got a 64 in each and a 67 from one and 68 from the other. At least not skunks and the "No Silver" was not quit right.........

Next two boxes on Tuesday next week.....

I would say someone who is tired of tossing around all the extra half boxes wrote it. I just can't see the places that dump in hoppers and make rolls looking at each box. Probablyyour teller did it to discourage you. She's probably tired of tossing them around too.

Sorry Bro you are way wrong. This is a three teller one branch CU. They all know me by name and have worked their butts off making sure I get my boxes. Cindy the vault teller is an older woman (late 50's) who is so much into my boxes and what I find. I have rewarded her plenty. She saw the stamp today on the one box and was so shocked. She had no idea.

If anything, it had to be the Loomis guys that did it. They are the ones that deliver the stuff to the bank and even know that I am the one that gets the boxes there and at another CU. They are probably tired of lugging them.

They probably are looking at the ends of the rolls and marking the boxes they look at so they know which boxes to deliver to the banks that either themselves or a friend ordered them from... :P

Keep in mind that just because a fed box comes from the fed does not mean that it was always in the possession of the fed.
how many times have you gotten to a new bank and asked for halves and they said, we had some but after 3 years of sitting there we sent them back to the fed.

Could easily have been someone who was searching for silver and scanning the tops as its so easy to do, and sending back the (lesser boxes)
as we know a bonanza box will show a lot of silver on top. good boxes can show none, like poor boxes and skunk boxes can show none. Id say its a quick scan from someone skimming the richest of the rich.
If you were pulling boxes that maybe had 50 to 200 keepers per box as to boxes that had 1 to 3 keepers...id say screw the bad ones too.

I say it was the Loomis guys. The ink from the "1" route number is the same as the "no silver" mark. I got a feeling they were fooling around...........

They even know that I'm the same guy that is the ONLY one that gets halves from two different CU's they deliever to.

What the hey. Neither box was a skunk. Not steller but not skunks..........
