i found this peice of rock in a 1907 old cabin site.
we also found at the site, some bottles, an old ax, peices of a wood stove and a realy sharp peice of glass. see The bottle has a clam in it ,very cool, like the ship in the bottle..
the question of the day is , Is it a peice of raw copper?

Unfortunately it was, it was a gusher so we had to leave, funny we never had a band-aid , BUT when we got to the row boat the coast guard was coming to check on the boat, it looked like it drifted on the rocks, they could see it from the coffey room.. they could not see the sail boat. they said ,they where board , they said, we even gave us a number.. they offered to give us a band-aid . but half hour of direct pressure stoped the gusher.
Burnt chiminy, you are sure its raw copper, that's relay significant. the guy who lived here also lived where we found this. he was native , but was not in his traditional territory, i was told he never built a proper house. hmmm

I heard a superstition along time ago about clam shells in bottles are suppost to bring good luck to your home, something like the cabbage above the door thing (bring money). it is never to be removed or your luck (or money) will run out. not for sure that is what you have but it is a old southern superstition. I have never tried it.

Its definitely an old religious pendant. Looks like a Sacred Heart medal. Whats on the back?
It may be called the Immaculate Heart of Mary or the Holy Heart of Mary.

Yea it looks kinda like the Sacred Heart Medal. My first choice. Hard to tell if its Jesus or Mary. Looking at the chin looks like Jesus. Hard to ID exactly they made millions of these medals.

Looking at it again, you are absolutely correct its Jesus and Hmmm has it labeled as jc1. I see the halo and the beard now. Its the Sacred Heart of Jesus Medal and the plating has worn off.

Be careful of your bleeding hmmm if you are on those blood thinners. A little finger cut can bleed for a half hour.

could also be an image of a mariner in a slicker.but I do see the image of Jesus also and a lot of the key elements fit the raised hand and halo.
