Found at a 1800's house, that was once a owners home for a spring water resort,
They had there own train depot across the road and shipped water all over the world, or at least the U.S. And Europe, lol. Part of the Danville VA rail road line. If you can help, thanks in advance.

Yep I'd go with Southern Railway also currently part of the Norfolk Southern Railway based in Roanoke, Va.

35 years in the Railway industry helps also....lol.

Odds are it was the id information for a specific car, lading, etc....probably next to impossible to track down specifics on.
