eBay - New & used electronics, cars, apparel, collectibles, sporting goods & more at low prices

Minutes after I paid, seller refunded my money and initiated a cancellation.

Stated "I broke cross when getting ready to package. Can't be fixed. I'm sorry item no longer for sale."

In the refund details it stated "Sorry. I tried to cancel bids and revise, but it would not let me. Here is full refund and sorry for any trouble."

I denied the cancellation, emailed the seller, and asked for my item to be shipped anyway.

This one is out and out BS. The seller didn't get what they thought it was worth so is trying to cancel after the fact.

I agree, i'd definitely bring it to Ebay's attention and leave negative feedback. Serves them right for ending an item at 1 o'clock in the afternoon. I had the same thing happen to me with a 14K beveled sharks tooth pendant. I won it for less than $50, never received it, never any communication from seller. I had to open a case against them to get my money back. Seller had sold several in the past for over $100 a piece. I did leave neg. feedback, which I have only had to do 3 times in 10 years.

If I looked at pic correctly I didn't see one pic that showed the a karat mark.. I agree this was done on purpose cause it was sold for less then what they wanted.. Ben I hope you sent a email thru ebay about wanting the item anyways..If not go back into your ebay page an do it so it can be tracked thru ebay that the email was sent.....

I will be very interested in how Ebay handles this one!! I had a vendor list four solar panels at a buy it now. I bought, seller came back and said he had listed them with the wrong price.... a full day they were listed... and refunded my money.

I went to Ebay for help in getting the auction price. Case worker at Ebay said... "since the seller refunded the money, there was no case."

Good Luck with your case.........

If I read Ben's first post correctly ..Ben refused the payment back to him so the auction should be still open...

Thanks for that detail, Creeper. I didn't know that was an option, all I saw was that the amount was refunded and saw the credit from PayPal... I felt helpless and "Railroaded", and not one Ebay case worker ever asked if I did it or why.

That's what I enjoy about this forum, always information to learn and use!
