We had measurable rain for 12 days in a row. It ruined two straight weekends for me.

I was able to get out a little this week. With the copious amounts of rain, the ground was soft and conductive. I went to a school where I located a couple of wheat cents this summer, I had a suspicion that there was silver there, but was unable to locate it because of the dry condition. I was rewarded with a '51 Rosie! I also managed a half dozen wheats, Mexican coin, two marbles and a .45 bullet.

The upcoming weekend is looking good. I plan on allowing Todd Lipe to take me on one of his "guaranteed to find silver coins" hunts. It has been two weeks since he has seen me, and he really misses me!

YTD silver coin # 64.

Thanks for looking and good luck on your hunts!

Nice job CT. the rain was brutal but we sure did need it.

WTG Tom. Your gut feeling was correct. Congrats on the silver Rosie and those wheats. I went out of town over the past weekend to an Oktoberfest in my home town for my annual drunk. I hope to get back out this weekend at least 1 day. I did get to finish my neighbors yard 2 nights ago and pulled $1.67 in clad in about an hour. I sure am jonesing for a real hunt.

Miss Philly yet??? Lol
Way to go Tom.

I find bullets like that all the time Tom. When you get a signal like that in a colonial field you get a little excited, but they usually hit too hard to be a coin. Glad to see the weather is finally cooperating ....

Nice hunt! Congratz!

Miss Philly yet??? Lol
Way to go Tom.

Oh I miss Philly... however, not so much the city, but the people, especially the Italians... one particular one comes to mind....

Hope you are doing well brother!

Nice stuff. I wouldn't be able to lose my marbles, because I only have two. Congrats on the finds!

Glad all you fellows are well and OK Tom. At least you won't have to worry about the soil being too dry for a bit. Good finds. Hope our buddy Todd comes through for you again!
