It Ain't All Treasure...
Didn't want you all to think my DFX was collecting dust

I don't usually post unless I've got a nice coin or relic but I've been following in some very good detectorist's footsteps lately so here's a few leftovers.
I got my permit to detect at Beaver Creek State Park in eastern Ohio and watched as the girl at the park office added a copy of mine to a STACK of previous detectorists!!
I knew after hitting the first cellarhole that it was worked over pretty hard.
I found the eagle button two weeks ago and the "what is it" experts Crusader and PBK id'd it for me as an 1810-20 militia button so it is probably the best of the lot.

The 1924 Merc i managed to scrounge out of a trash ravine at one of the cellarholes...i was chuckling to myself "they didn't get it all!!!"
Today i hiked 3/4 of a mile back to an old lock that operated til the mid 1800's. I found some clad coins and an intact Larkin Co. jar just before a major downpour soaked me to the bone.

There was a civil war reenactment going on in the park today so i listened to the sound of cannons and mussle loaders going off all afternoon while i was hiking and swinging.

Here's a whatzit for ya

Visitor's plaque and lock.

Here's a couple shots along the creek,HH,Jerry
