Isn't it fascinating what's still in a hunted out park?

I decided to just go to a park I KNOW has a reputation of being hunted out. Spent about 7 hours there, (not straight through. :) ) Although it was all new coins, I just don't believe it's "hunted out".

First of all let me tell you about a funny thing that happened. The weather was really nice out there, or at least, so I thought. I was into the hunt for about an hour and a shower came up. Not real heavy, just annoying. I moved under a big ole tree and continued hunting. When the rain stopped, I moved back out from under and as soon as I started sweeping, here came the rain again! :(

This went on a couple more times and I looked up at the sky to see when/if this was ever gonna stop. This is what I saw.

I said, "Now, just WHAT are you raining OUT OF!?!?!"

So, I moved out from under again and this time looked straight up. Through the raindrops on my glasses I saw this.

OK. Now I get it, it's that damn little black cloud that follows me everywhere! LOL
It did finally give up and go away so I was able to continue my quest.

Here's the take:

All that, from a hunted out park! :)

The artifacts.

Whilst cleaning this one up I said to myself that this one seems to be getting dirtier the more I clean! Turns out it has some sort of abstract art on the handles.

The "jewelry" ?!?

Rather ornate looking button.

This appears to be the oldest thing I found but I have no clue what it might be. Brooch? Point? ;)

This is how the coins divided up.

So, whatcha think of my little venture? Would you go back to this park?

Thanks for peeking!

Nothing is done until you say so, so I would say, RETURN FOR MORE BOOTY!:skullflag:

Great job, funny thing, when you actually swing the a coil you are actually NOT getting a 100% coverage when you step forward/ swing left to right. There is always a chance you miss hit depending how fast you walk.

How many years ago did he say his dad hunted it out. if it was 20 years or so, and what kind of machine did he have? Apparently, not well experienced either......nge

I am an old timer (over 50 years huntin') and I will never tell you a place is hunted out, close, but not quite!.......nge

How funny with that rain cloud! Is your "point" part of a padlock? Just a guess.

Seems a good guess to me. I really don't know. It doesn't seem to be missing anything though. Except what looks like remnants of maybe an iron based pin/mount on the back. The 12 little dimples confuse me too.

Thanks!
