Land-Mag & I scouted this yesterday & one of the reasons we like it, is because it used to be an island surrounded by marshy land, so it was the only dry land for thousands of years.
I joked yesterday that we would struggle today whilst gridding & that's what happened. We gridded a large area to increase our chances of finding the various good finds that where very spread out, but after 4 (8 man hours) hours we had no hammered. Cru'dad suggested doing a wander like yesterday, but I wasn't that keen, as I thought is must come good soon. However, I went along with it & wandered off straight on to our first hammered! Gridded the area & nothing else. Wandered off further, & choose a line to start another random grid & got another hammered on the first run. Same deal, gridded the area, nothing!

6 Hours;

1 Scrappy Dupondius
1 Livery Button
A 19th C 'GIN' ring pull looking thing:icon_scratch: - PS. Probably a decanter collar!
50 Cal
Tudor Spectacle Buckle
19th C Copper Ring
2 hammered - Ed III Halfpenny, & a blank Penny.
My best example of a black lacquered 1650-1750 Horse Bridal Boss.8-)

Congratulations on some more excellent finds.
(That buckle does look very similar to the one I found yesterday in Florida. Any idea of the overall width and heighth? Iron?)

25x20mm but these buckles vary in size from much small than this to huge. They are copper-alloy, closest to bronze.

Very Nice!!! Congrats!!!

Another success, nice silvers, really like the Bridal Boss & buckle, congratulations on all & continued success

Thanks for sharing the size of that buckle.
I thought iron on the composition because it has areas of corrosion, but then I realized this was a damp area you hunted.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot ....... Very nice hammered coins, the enameled bridle boss as well as the other artifacts. Love seeing what you, Cru'dad and crew find "next".

Truly epic history saves. Thanks for saving them and thanks for sharing!

CHEERS EVERYONE.:occasion14:
