IS WHITES DOING AWAY WITH THE MXT & MXT PRO

I see were some dealers have a reduced price on the MXT & PRO and Kellyco has only a limited stock on them… Is Whites going to discontinue the MXT model's ?

They are one of the best seller they have. I would not think they will discontinue them.

I don't know about best selling but I think it could be the best detector they make as far as I'm concerned it will find the silver as deep as the V3i and the E-trac for sure. The MXT paired with the D2 coil is a deep coin killer for sure and while the D2 can be bad in high EMI area's I've found that the Detech ultimate 13" coil will get as deep and hit harder when coins are sitting on edge without as much EMI problem. HH

They may be with the new stuff coming out that may be why they bundled the mxt all pro up as to sell off as many things as possible.. Mx5 may be the new generation

I don't believe the MX5 is a match for the MXT, so if they want something that will have the following and sell as well they better come out with something else to replace the MXT. HH

Your right the MX5 would not be as good as the MXT .. 2 years before Minelab did away with the Sovereign i said it looks like they are going to discontinue the Sovereign … And ones come out and said oh no they would not do that it is there best seller … Then they quit making the sovereign and then ones came out and said it was not a good seller that is why they got rid of it ??.. Now it looks like the MXT is on it's way out….

I dont know if they are getting rid of the mxt but they may be headed into a direction of more weatherproof detectors..lighter detectors. Etc... Hope all manufacturers make them lighter and more weather resistant.

If weatherproof and lighter means cheap plastic I'll stick with the 2 MXT's that I have now, I can go into thick wooded area's without worrying I'm going to break my detector. HH

I will say they are far from cheap.. Very very sturdy and even though they are plastic they feel as if they would hold up better that the older mxt machines..

Check out a Garrett ATX.....it is plastic....but one would have a hard time breaking it....

NO, they are NOT doing away with the MXT models, they just didnt have a mid ranged priced machine so they brought out a few more to cover the market however these inferior machines do not even compare to the MXT models which will do everything the high end machines do and still cost half the price. WHen they introduced the MXT ALL PRO they added a couple coils to the selling price so dealers with a lot of stock couldnt compete with the new pricing with added goodies so they started dumping their stock yet the MXT ALL PRO is the same machine as the MXT PRO they just put a sticker on it that says "ALL" and threw in some goodies.

I concur with williamsingr. I was at the White's factory last week. The Mxt series is their foundation. It is like 3 detectors in one. Jewelry and coins, relics, and prospecting. Almost all their coils are compatable with the MXT. This unit is just below the awesome Spectra models. Everything but the box is waterproof. White's is the best company to deal with!
