this is what a friend of mine has found over the past 30 years, no he hasnt done it coninually, like me it was just sometimes and not at others. we are going to start doing it again, i will post my 30 year finds if any interest, i dont have as much because i was in az when he found most of his stuff. going today to ask permission to hunt a place where there was some activity(attack on wagon train) he let me hunt there long ago, i found an artillary shell, buton, carved lead, bullet puller.....hope you enjoy

Way Cool, Could you give some info on the attack without giving away it's location. Thank's for sharing....Steve
 

sticks907---i think the little balls are cannister shot

stevesno--cant give location of train, and if i told you the name of the attack it would be easy to find, the people in the are are tired of people sneaking on their property to hunt, one lady told me she has had her garden veges dug up and the holes left, so i prolly should have not even mentioned it at all, i'm sorry about that, i will try to keep my yap shut from now on, allthough if i can get in there and find something i will post it, thanks guys
 

Nice finds! Great variety of relics. Did he dig any old coins at all?
