hello all,
today while I was goin through some boxes of junk for my own yard sale and I found a swiss wristwatch! and it looks valuable, I looked up the make and model and these things are hard as hell to find, I only managed to find 3 of them for sale all on ebay, 2 w/ black strap 1 w/ red but none with the brown.

it is a Lucien piccard 26821BR
as far as I can tell model 26821 came in black strap (BK) brown strap (BR) and red strap (RD) I have a BR model, I cant find any of these for sale, only black and red straps. I wanted to know if this was rarer and more valuable or less valuable than the BK or RD models.

BK models sell for about $100 and the one red one I saw was listed for $40 but I think it is because the seller didn't know what it was worth.

Lucien Piccard Ladies Watch White Face 26821BK 085785106888 | eBay
this looks exactly like mine but mine has a brown leather strap rather than black. the face and bezel are exactly the same.

also the battery is dead on mine, should I get it replaced before I sell it?

Always replace the battery before you sell a watch. If you don't it gives someone a reason to say it didn't/doesn't work. I don't know too much about watches but from the little bit I just read, the name Lucien Piccard was once a good name for watches. The old ones still get good money. The new ones are not the same. The name was bought out by someone else sometime in 1968 it seems. So, same name, different product. Kind of like what has happened to many once classic American name/made products, like Levis, Schrade, Craftsman, etc.
