It could be a 1916 D, but it's hard to tell with the reverse side of the coin being upside down in your picture.

If it is a 1916 D, the hole would greatly decrease the value, but it would still be worth a lot more than other 1916 mercs that aren't Ds. in the same or little better condition but without a hole in them.

I played with it, turned the picture over, enlarged and enhanced to the best of my ability, which aint much, but now, what do you think?

Exactly.. His listing had coins on it but that was the only 1 so I went ahead and did the right thing and glad I did, lol
