Is this tiny art piece considered a micro mosaic in relief?

I found this mosaic type picture. It is in relief. I don't know if it is trash or a little treasure but it is handmade and beautiful. It is framed in a wooden frame with gold matting.

The framed size is approx. 7 inches by 8 inches.
The actual mosaic is mounted on glass and is approx. 4 by 5 inches.

There is a separate white/cream card behind the mosaic. On that card is a signed name in black ink that appears to be “Catherine” or “Athina”. I assume this is the artist but not sure. Perhaps someone will recognize this signature because I can not.

The flowers are very intricate with incredible detail. You can see incredible shading and depth to the tiniest leaf – including the veins in the leaf and a natural-looking shape. Each facet of the flowers and leaves are approx .5 centimeter. The center of the orange flower has a white stigma.

The flower base is definitely mother of pearl. The flowers are made of turquoise, opals, or orange citrine glass and jade -color stone or glass.

Anyone familiar with this? Thanks everyone!

Sorry, have no knowledge of this type of work, but it is very nice & possibly
one of a kind. It does seem to say 'Catherine' .

It is not micro-mosaic, but it is a very nice piece of art. Micro-mosaic is usually pendant or jewelry size. Name does appear to be Catherine to me also. It is definitely a treasure.

That is very cool.
Looks like a pearl on the left part of the shell, which is most likely oyster shell.
It's a good one, showing colours and patterns similar to our paua shell, aka abalone.

It's beautiful, I'm not familiar with it- well sort of now, you know what I mean :icon_scratch:
