Can anyone can help me identifiing this item? It was found digging near Roman temple near Muggia, Italy.
Dimensions: 4,5cm x 5 cm.

From your picture it does not look like anything I have seen that was Roman, it looks like stamped brass....perhaps a cover for something more pictures might help, one of the back.
