Is this ring silver plated?

Picked this ring up today for $10. I like turquoise and silver rings and pick them up for cheap when I can. Don't resell them, just add them to my silver hoard. This one was on a local facebook group for $10 and I had my wife pick it up as she was in that area so I didn't see it up close until now.

The inside says "8X925" and on the other side"Thailand" Ive never seen the 8x before 925 but from the Thailand mark, Im guessing it leans silver plated. The ring feel light to me also. Just want to confirm that its junk and Ive thrown away $10.
