It's condition and size remind me of Roman coins I have dug in wet pasture soil in the UK

You say it was found where you find points. Could a piece of raw copper used as a trade item. The Native Americans did use copper, but I don't know of any being found in our area. Tony

Awesome find for you....do you have any pics of yours? I did see a pic online of Roman coin and I thought it looked very similar really. I have yet to find any others - but will post if I do.

Thanks Tony. I have not found any others similar to this time nor any other copper looking items really. I will keep my eyes open and be asking again should I find anything similar or other clues.
