Is This Nickle a Mint Error?

Hey everyone!

I got this 1986 nickle out a vending machine the other day. I noticed the mark on the front and back. I was just wondering if it was a mint error or post mint damage. I know my pictures aren't good, so you may have to click on them to be able to tell anything.

Front. The mark on this side is a circular mark with an outer ring of what looks like copper and on the very inside you can see a little circle of nickle.

Back. The mark on this side looks like something circular was pressed into it.

Both the marks are exactly in the center on both sides of the coin .

Not an error. It was punched on one side and it shows through on the other. There is nothing in the minting process that can cause this. Sorry.

Thanks! It looked a little strange to me, but I thought it was probably post mint.
