Is this native american?

I found this rock in the north Ga. mts. a few months ago. It laying in a gravel bar in a small creek. The creek runs though or near the north Ga. gold belt.The outside edges are worn smooth.THE grove on the side, wraps all the around the rock.Those are pennies laying next to it.

Looks like a natural rock to me. Perhaps you could post it on the Native American forum and some there could tell you more. Good luck!:icon_thumleft:

Actually I think it might be a broken off piece of a fossil footprint.IMO
