Is this military? How old when was it made? This directamotion tag found metal detecting in 1920s ww2 army air field practice training camp and part of base too. 20210227_142105.webpView attachment 190592320210227_142148.webp
 

Google is your friend. I can't read what it says but if you can read it you can google the name and likely get the info you wish. Does not appear to be military.

See it's so much easier to have us do the research for this young lad.
See it is off the famous much sought after:
BELL HOWELL 1592*Directamotion film projector
These projectors were probably highly classified equipment for viewing the testing of the nuclear weapons that were tested.
I can't imagine how much this would be worth as the projector auction hammer fell plus 10% commission on the sale. $2.95

Trademark filed 8th June 1973 (registered 25th March 1975) by Bell & Howell of Chicago, Illinois for remote control units for projectors. First use in commerce 1970. Expired 1995 without renewal. You're welcome.

Yes, it is military . . . and also civilian. It was brand new when first made. The trademark was first registered on: 6/8/1973

Used to project such 16mm training hits as: "Strictly Personal: Hygiene". "Louse Borne Diseases" and "Malaria Prevention"
