Is this gold!!!! UPDATED

Found an earing at the beach about 3 weeks ago. I thought it was garbage and threw it into the pouch. I was going through some stuff today and found on the side of the earing a hallmark. Its either 150. or 750. Im almost sure its 750 though, its kinda worn. I did some research and found that 750 means 18k. Anyways there is a stone in the center. Before i go the jewlers i wanted to see if you guys thought, A. if its gold, and B. is it possible the stone is a diamond. thanks

Got to the jewlers today and although the earing is 18k which is cool, the stone is not real. Im still stoked though, that just my third gold ever. thanks for lookin

I would say it is gold. I can't really see the stone well but my guess would be that it is not a diamond. Does not look like a typical diamond earring style.

If its 750(18K) then whatever the stone is, I'd say its real!! Good you didn't throw it away!!

naw, it's trash but send it to p.o. box 31 n.y. i collect junk. i think it is and probably a diamond too. get it checked.

IMO, the quality of workmanship looks like there is at least a good chance it is gold.
and that's without seeing the hallmark info...

Thanks for the info guys. Im going after worked to get it looked at by a jewler i know. Hopefully thats a nice diamond in the middle Il be praying. keep your fingures crossed for me, il update this tonight when i get home.
