I had held a small propane torch on it for about 10 minutes and it got red but did not melted. Had a harmful smell to it. Looks like some kind of metel ore

Well, depending on where on the E.S. you were when you found it, there is a town named Galena- because they used to mine the stuff there... Yakker

Galena is among the most recognizable and unmistakable of minerals-- very cubic, black, very heavy, and (if you've got an ohmmeter) electrically conductive. Geological setting most often intrusive precipitated by carbonate host rock.

If you have to ask, it's not galena. You asked, therefore it's not galena. If it's extremely heavy and found in a lead-producing region, it may be some other lead mineral.

Galena - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia As wikis go, not a great one, but at least a place to start.

Most likely a conglomerate of small to micro crystalline Arsenopyrite. The small white crystals are typical as well as the smell of sulfur.
