Hunted a 1917 house today. Homeowner approached my last weekend while I was hunting the park across the street, and asked if I could find bullets in his yard. Seems at some point, there was a Hatfield and McCoy feud with the neighbors across the street (where the park is now).

So I hit half of the yard, and found this ring in the weeds, about 4" down, and roots were growing through it. Initially when I saw the spider, I got excited thinking it's a vintage Spider-Man ring, but it doesn't seem to match what they used for ole Spidey. It's definitely a black widow on the top, with webs on either side. Wondering if it could be a ring from the '60's era Marvel comic Black Widow. Maybe a send-away ring, or a club member ring?

Ring seems to be kid sized. It doesn't show in the pics, but there looks to be some 'gold' plating or similar. I think I also see 3 'hallmark' stamps of sorts, one being an 'S', and the other 2 are indecipherable.

Anyone have any idea where the ring is from? It could just be a kid's ring with a black widow on it, but I'm hoping someone recognizes it as a promo ring from a comic or something.

Thanks!

Similar ones on the net just say "Black Widow Spider Ring" One eBay auction says 60's - 70's, but none reference any comic character.
