Is this civil war plate?

Found this engraved plate at the beach last week. It is a tad short of 3 inches and weighs 7g. It may be lead but not sure. It is non-magnetic. It has a two tiny hooks on the back like it was attached to something. Any help is greatly appreciated. Moe
