Been rubbing this pup for a few months now and it finally started to show something. This is a dime sized coin (sorry for the no scale), and what looks to me to be a TIA. Hoping maybe part of the word Britia... found some 1812 ish stuff in this same "neighborhood", but also alot of modern crap too. The other side is cemented up still.

Any ideas on what it might be?

Looks like a melted Spanish Reale.
We need something for scale to tell what size it is.

I would say it is part od "DEI GRATIA" or something similar. Still could be Brtish.

Ah cool... Maybe a Carolus III Spanish coin.

If so, the date would be right there to the right of the TIA, which would be the bottom of the coin. (took the picture before I saw a coin on the google to know the proper orientation). Just might break into the 1700's????

"Just keep rubbin it"

Little bit smaller than a dime....

Not sure what your plugging it into, but 12volts is fine, & you only need 10 minutes at a time to help get rid of the crud. It's not going to do a coin like that any further harm than is already present.

No...the letters T. I. A are part of the word D.E.I G.R.A.T.I.A.

SS

So what your saying is there is no GRATIA on a Spanish Reale?
I'm confused?
