Diebold was a safe company. It more than likely was a key to some sort of lock box. Is there a number on the other side?
It is similar to a safe deposit box key also..

I thought that too DG. No, nothing on the other side, thanks. Oh, I inlayed the key with babypowder so that the writing would stand out.

I agree: very likely a safe deposit key. Here is a Diebold safe deposit lock with similar keys.
