Is this an old iron axehead?

Hi,
me and a friend was hunting in an old field, and i mean old! But its still a farmer field today, so it might be an farmer tool?

It was a battle there 1814, but we did not find any bullets so i think we where on the wrong side of the site. Anyway, i did pick this up, and did not care so much before i get home and cleaned it a little bit. Then my girlfriend said, that it looked like an old axehead and i looked more on it and yes it looks like it, but i still have my doubts. Something that did came to my head was that, 500 meters from that site it does exist rock carving.

Any other ideas,age or know what this is?

Sorry .. A fragment is piece of an exploded artillery round, such as a round cannon ball.

But is not this object to long for a artillery round?
Would it help to try to get the weight on it?

Looks like the tip of a plow that was broken. I found two larger plows deep in a farmers field and the tip has that "sorta" shape.

That was my first guess when i did found it, but its not sharp or does not seen to be broken of from something, but it might be it? I hope not tho

its just a bit of broken lump of iron pretty hard to ID what its off maybe a bit of a farm machinery nothing more then that.. its 100% not a iron axe for sure! keep hunting!
