✅ SOLVED Is this an old handmade potty chair?

I think this is an old potty chair but it is baffling to me. Found in FL barn. Handmade. It appears the metal rim that supports the wood seat might have been added or re-enforced with screws later. The wood seat has nail or worm holes and it looks like different wood. Your input is welcome.

It's just an old ladder back dinning chair frame that's missing the original cushion. It just needs taken to an upholstery shop.

My Grandma had those cane bottom chairs, as soon as I saw it, that is what I thought.

Don't sit in them with a wet bathing suit on, it ruins the cane and Grandma will whip the tar out of you... don't ask how I know this!
