Is this an old chisel ? what's it made of ?

I found this on the north shore of Long Island, along the beach. It does not stick to a magnet, but it sounds like metal when tapping it. Whatever it is, it seems very old. Thanks for any help.

Just judging by the pic, it looks like a weathered stone to me. Weathered meaning it has been tumbled to smoothness in the ocean and/or river.

Thanks Breezie. Its def weathered from the water. But I am 99% sure its not a stone, it clinks like a metal. But I really dont know anything about this stuff
