Is this a Tomahawk???

I found this iron tomahawk looking relic at an old plantation site in Louisiana this afternoon.
It appears the blade has been broken off.
Big mystery here because if it is a tomahawk, it does not have a hole where the wood handle would attach. But it looks a lot like pictures of one that I've seen on the internet. Could this be one that was being forged on site?? If not a tomahawk, then what is it? Please help me with any id on this or any opinion. Thanks!

Looks more like a roofinf hammer?

I've got one of those very same items I found in the wheat field behind me. It's an old tiller knife I believe. Also I believe a same similar one was posted some time ago also. I'm pretty sure it's a wear part on some kind of older ag equipment. The one I have is threaded on the shaft end.

I'll admit, I'm no expert when it comes to hatchets or axes... these kind of look similar. :icon_scratch:
