is this a token? any info?

I found this a little while back at a large field near my house. I believe it to be a token. Its as big as a half dollar I would say. Has 13 stars like it's colonial. Thanks if anybody can give me more info. I've researched and can't find anything as well as posting on another forum I belong to.

I'm thinking it's probably something like a modern day advertising token. We found one with stars around it and an eagle a few years back and it turned out to be from a state fair. Still I'm no expert so maybe someone else can enlighten you.

What does the token say (pic 2). It's best to take the pick at an angle so more details show instead of getting the glare from a straight on shot.

I believe Tim is from The Knicker Magazine, from the National Clothing Co., 1930's.
