Is this a token, a coin or a button?

I recently found this item but a thorough search of the internet has failed to turn up any info on it. I'm wondering if it could be a coin, a token or a button. It is 27mm high, and appears to be made of copper. It also appears to have edeges that are flat on one side and rounder on the other side as if it may have been mounted in some kind of setting in the past. Any info on what this thing is would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

it is not a button.

in order to be a button one side would have a loop.

could be a token, or game piece.

I won't rule out coin, but not any coin I've ever seen
