Is this a rock? - UPDATED PICTURES

What it this? Looks like... well I am not sure. I thought a melted glass but then I found another one 4 miles away at another site. What the heck? Maybe it is melted glass. I dunno. What do you think?

The first 2 pics are one "rock" and the other 2 are the other "rock."

If not melted glass, looks like quartz to me.

Quartz doesnt melt,your object appears to be melted.Even Quartz water worn does not look like yours.Still neat

these were made from clear obsidian. and i have had 2 real one's and a chunk of clear obsidian. not saying for sure it's not glass just stating that there is clear obsidian.

Lets see it?I have been a obsidian knapper and collector from way back,and have never heard of it!!!

I hateto say it but I am not buyin that clear obsidian.........it looks like glass to me and I find it hard to beleive that in 30 year s of experience I have never heard or seen it.I couldbe wrong though

Too late to take pic of my 'rock', got from an ol timer. Was told it was volcanic glass (which is obsidium, isn't it?). It's clear with red, blue and green stripes thru it. Outside surface is like obsidium, smooth,sharp edges and 'spooned areas'. Posted this and will do a notify me. Will try to take a couple of pics and post tomorrow.

No I was not taking it as arguing or being combative toward you.I had never heard of that and find the info you provided very interesting as stated I have never heard of that!!I have Rainbow,silver and gold sheen,flame, mahogany,green,and several shades of black....oh yea and grey too!!No clear!!
