🔎 UNIDENTIFIED Is this a piece of petrified wood?

Found on a beach in Delaware. It feels porous on outside but where it is broken there’s a smooth and glossy golden brown color. There also appears to be a knot in the wood as you can see in the bump on the second picture. Heavy for its size. Is this petrified wood?

It's Chalcedony - the variety known as flint. Flint nodules are common and often take on unusual forms.

The white porous outside is most likely a porous variety of limestone known as chalk. Flint nodules often form in chalk.
