it most likely is. i found it about an inch down at a local park and it has a lot of corrosion on it. it had more but i soaked it in coke.

its a little crazy thinking that if this was shot and it landed in my local park, it could have hurt someone. it looks like a .22 bullet

Probably is modern .I find them in playgrounds and parks all the time.

Like the other posters I've found fired and non-fired rounds in schoolyards, parks and playgrounds. Plenty of drug paraphernalia too. Society is not changing for the better IMO.

When I lived in New Orleans I found at least one fired bullet every time I went out. Didn't matter if it was a yard, a park, even the beaches on the lake.

In northern vs everything is built on old farms etc I've found modern bullets and casings almost every where I dig.
