This looks like the American Eagle, but it has 2 olive branches in its claws. (The bezel is 14K)

This is one similar to yours. This one is gold. They are made by commercial ring companies and often sold at stores right outside the post.

I believe the FM part of the mark indicates it is by the Franklin Mint.

I tried looking on their site, but the ring is so old, they have nothing like it. I did a quick search on Ebay, Franklin Mint silver ring, and I found rings that make me feel confident now in writing up a listing and setting a price. Thank you SOOOO much.

It's "gold" silver, vermeil. Basically, it's plated (I think). Ring is gone off to its new owner.

ps-- How do I mark this as solved?
