I'm surprised you would ask that. Any silver, or anything that old in my opinion is a keeper. Key date or not. Great find for any of us.

Key dates are always a keeper.....someone always needs it for a completion of a collection. Also silver is always a keeper.....lol

I know silver is a keeper but just for silver value, or how does the coin grade?

Let me think on that for a second........hell yeah!!! Unless of course you don’t want it then I will be glad to accept it as a gift :laughing7:

in my opinion the coin would grade AG (about good). The word 'Liberty' which appears on her headband is worn away completely, but all other major features of the coin remain, which would give it an average grade of G (good), however the coin has lots of gouges all over both sides, which in my opinion would drop the grade from G to AG. Personally, I would value the coin at about 50 - 60 bucks. It would be a good filler for a collection until one in better condition could be obtained

THANKS. I found that coin at a park where they had torn down a pavilion and it was on top of the dirt pile. Eyeballed it.

It's an A+ grade for your collection. I would be more concerned more about how you can find more time to get back to that site and start digging!

Of course 's a keeper. It's old and it's silver - and it's silver (yes, said it twice). Even for collection purposes, having a coin "of type" is important, even if it's not in perfect shape. GREAT find.

Any coin you dig with a mintage of 720,000 is lot more than a keeper, it's a best find!
