Is this a GOOD Deal?

Kellyco has the COBRA Beach\Land detector on Sale for $445.00, it has a MSRP of $1000.00. It is fully submersible to 130 feet, and seems well suited for the land as well.

If anyone has any personal experience with this unit Please let me know!
I'm presently working with a DFX, and I'm not to keen on getting this unit near the surf!!!!

i would stay away from the cobra beach magnet myself. i have not heard good things about it. but thats just me.

My personal opinion, it's a piece of junk, I would avoid it. I bought one and returned it to Kellyco the next day.

Why don't you save the money and invest in the best, get you a good used ML Excal or a new Tiger Shark. I have 2 Excals I bought used, one for $850, and one for $750 both working perfectly. Not only will you be buying one of the best, but they hold their values on resale. Check out EBay. I could sale either one of my Excals and get all of my money I paid back. If you don't like used, either pick up a tiger shark, or save a little longer and get a new Excal from TonyinCt......

stay away from it!

i ordered one from kellyco before knowing better and luckly, it came broken. its poorly made (made in china) and looks like something made by a toy remote control car company to me. i returned it.

for not too much more you can get a tesoro tigershark which is wayyyy superior, made in USA and has a lifetime warranty. i ordered my tigershark from out of state (tcmetaldetectors) and saved over $40 on taxes. buying from the local guy is nice and all but $40 in your pocket versus our mispending goverment's pocket is nothing to sneeze at.

I have the generic version from another site on EBay, made in China, only really able to detect about an inch deep. Not worth wasting your money on. Spend it on a more reliable model.

Yeah.............. I've done a more research on this, and I think I'm going to settle on the Tesoro Tiger Shark. The hardest part of this is convincing my wife I NEED another metal detector!!!!!!!!

I have discovered that after you start giving them gold and diamond rings you find, the objections quickly disappear. When I go hunting my wife tells me to "be careful and find me something nice".

When she sees her friends she shows them the 2 diamond rings I found and gave her so far.

Hey Chris, I finally decided to buy a Cobra Beach Magnet from Kellyco that had been restored and sold for $375.00 last Christmas. It comes with built in headphones. I have been very happy with my unit both in the water and on land. It works fine. Is easy on batteries. It is a good all-purpose unit for the money even though it is made in China.

To each his own, glad it worked for you . I returned mine in less then 24 hours and I would never recommend them.

Just my own personal opinion, but I would save a few more dollars and get a used Excal or a new Sovereign GT or a Tirger Shark with lifetime warranty.
