Excellent find, Crusader! I've never found any copper Spanish coins--only a few silver ones. Great coin in excellent condition. What type of acid do you use to clean them Grubby, and what strength?

Great find !!! MARAVEDIS, These coins were the first coins minted in the new World (SANTO DOMINGO) And date back to the mid 1500s.

I agree grubby. Looks like a Philip IIII 1621-1665 The numeral looks faint but I think it is a IIII
Spain was bankrupt at this time and produced some really poor coinage. I think they even debased the copper because the ones I have found are in bad bad shape.
