Hello TNet
It's been a while since I posted anything. I've been trolling daily but haven't had much time to get out until I was inspired by a TNetter posting his eyeball finds the other day. I went out yesterday to a sod farm and made a couple of eyeball passes and found some plain pottery. Today I went back with the detector and found a couple of things before the sun went down. Anyone have any idea on the coin? I see a "P" and that's about it. Super thin and dime sized. Thanks for the help. GM

Thank you Retired Sarge. That'll give me a starting point to search.

I think the letters are R and D. If you look at the reverse of a seated liberty dime the two line up and dots around the edge. Could be the front of a barber dime too.

The R&D almost line up across from each other on the dime.
Where as the worn one is at 12 & 4.

The actual diameter of the item may help. A late 18th century Spanish 1/2 reale would have been 16mm or a little larger. A one reale Spanish would have been 20mm.

An early US half dime 15.5mm, an early US dime 18.8 mm and then they changed it to a smaller 17.9 mm.

Let us know.

With my caliper it is 17.27mm and with Z.K.s picture I will mark it solved. Thank you for the help.
