Does anyone know what this could be?
It feels and sounds like a stone when you tap it on a table.
Diameter 32mm
Weight 37 grams

It was found in a small creek near remnants of several very old moonshine stills in Paulding County, GA.

Thanks!

Update: Thanks everyone for the comments and ideas! Will research each of your comments.
  • Grinding ball or mill ball
  • Stone rounded by train wheel or water
    • Nearest railroad is 5 miles away and it appears to have paint so I think it is probably not this one
  • Old toy of some sort
    • Possibly a hand blaster ball
  • Marble whiskey stone

I can see remnants of what looks to be blue paint across the balls surface. :icon_scratch:
So possibly an early game piece from a kids toy of some sort?
The fact that you found it in a small creek, makes me think that a it was left/lost there by a child.

Looks pretty big to be a marble, I've found several over the years but nothing of that size, either clay or glass.

Was there a rail road track anywhere near where you found it ? I've found rocks that have been rounded perfectly from being caught in the trains wheels.
